Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design Harrington College of Design
I have always had issues finding a task chair to fit my stature and comfort needs until I ‘met’ Fern by Haworth. The wave suspension system is a game changer for a previous back pain sufferer. It provides me with the exact support that I need. And let’s not forget Fern is easy on the eyes!
I planned to be a doctor until a few brutal science classes had me singing a different tune. I spent five years trying different majors in college before deciding to pursue my passion in interior design. While in school I began my first industry job at a residential firm. When the recession claimed my position, I was fortunate to find myself working for a furniture dealer/ remanufacturer (a world I never knew existed).
Fast forward many years and I have dabbled in design, sales, and project management. I capitalized on opportunity to move into an A&D role at Kayhan as I craved a “client facing” position that still allowed me to exercise my creative side. Choosing to move into the A&D role has allowed me to meet new people while representing my company. To me, it’s a perfect position!
PROUD TO CARRY THE KAYHAN FLAG.
Long hours and a stressful environment at previous employers made me question if I was built to be both a mother and have a career. When a recruiter connected me to Kayhan it was by far one of the best things to happen to me. I’d found company that valued some of the same things that I value…. It’s people (employees), their families, and getting the job done with excellence. I wake up every day excited to come to work to do my best but also now know that there are smarter more efficient ways to get the job done without sacrificing time with family.
